Free Screening Invitations Offered By Angelika
For film lovers and movie-goers, nothing beats a chance for a pre-screening of an anticipated upcoming movie. Most especially if it’s free for you and your guest. That’s what Angelika Film Center offers. Just sign up for their free email newsletter and you’ll receive weekly announcements of free pre-screenings as well as special offers and movie showtimes at your nearest Angelika theatre. 
I personally signed up 2 years ago and have seen Pan’s Labyrinth, The Orphanage, The Chronicles of Narnia, Choke, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly and Defiance all for free. I just printed out one copy of the Angelika email newsletter (which is good for 2 tickets) and waited in line for about 30-45 minutes for seating. Since seating is limited and available to first come-first serve, it’s best to come at least an hour prior to the actual show time. Keep in mind the newsletter printout does not guarantee free tickets; once they’re gone, the pre-screening is closed. It’s just a minor downside considering the value and exclusivity of the offer. Some people complain free movies aren’t worth the time and wait in line, but with the prices of movie tickets nowadays and the current state of the economy, I think I can make time for FREE.
